We feel lucky at BW Bookkeeping as we already work from home using cloud software, so it has not meant that we have had to stop completely.
Obviously we have some clients that we can no longer meet, some clients who were paying for one to one training that we can not work with and some clients who can not afford any work at the moment as their income has stopped.
We also have a client that can not get a bank account opened for a new limited company. In the November lockdown some of the bank decided not to offer new accounts (very frustrating) and this is still causing trading issues.
It is difficult to imagine a time when the pandemic will not form part of every call with our clients. It is hard to imagine being able to see clients in the evenings without having to consider whether the school bubbles will be open or closed, whether we are supposed to be isolating etc.
But we are lucky enough to have good software (Quickbooks and Xero) as well as quite a few clients who work in construction, agriculture and manufacturing so we must not complain.
We remain hopeful and positive that things will get easier, that our worst effected clients will recover their incomes and that we will all get back to some sort of normality in the near future.
Obviously we also thank our lucky stars that the pandemic has not taken anyone too close to home and our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones.

I learned more about how to direct my business in 20 minutes talking to Jen than in 4 years of meetings with my accountant.

We have been a client of BW Bookkeeping since 2017 and rely on them for a range of services. They helped us change from a sole trader to a limited company and handle all our banking and VAT.
