Did you know that as your business hits that crucial 5 employee level, it is a legal requirement for employers to write a health and safety policy.  Rather than avoiding it or feeling depressed about the sinking feeling we all get when talking about health and safety, we are here to get you started with the process.  Some of the first few steps are not as daunting as you think, and starting to think about/talk about health and safety will get your plans focussed on getting your place of work up to scratch.

Health and safety will mean making a few changes and spending a bit of money, but it is important to remember that if your business needs to claim from the insurance companies, being shown to have failed in your health and safety duties will mean that there is no insurance pay out.  Like general maintenance, it is important to pay out a little here and there along the way, to avoid losing your company over an accident that could have been avoided.

Your health and safety policy is not necessarily a huge book to be written, it just needs to demontrate ;

what your general health and safety policy is

who is going to carry out any work required

what taks are going to be carried out.
